Today Ukraine celebrates the Day of Unity.

The day when 105 years ago, the Act of Unification was proclaimed on St. Sophia Square in Kyiv, uniting the eastern and western Ukrainian lands into a single state. The day when, 34 years ago, millions of Ukrainians formed a "Human Chain" from Ivano-Frankivsk to Kyiv.

Since then, January 22 has been a symbol of our united and integral state. Today we are united by a common goal and faith. From west to east, from north to south. Where the blue and yellow flag flies, and where it is hidden from enemies.

The resistance of Ukrainians proves once again that Ukraine is indivisible and independent.

Our strength is in unity. We have the truth behind us, and therefore, we will certainly win! Happy Unity Day!
